Inside Sales Representative I
Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative I is a vital member of the Sales department team. Responsible for taking customer calls and orders, configuring product orders, giving price quotes, and entering orders into ERP system. Communicate with purchasing, production, and shipping/receiving staff on order status.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Take customer orders via phone, email, and fax
2. Configure belts, provide quotes, and enter customer orders into the ERP computer system
3. Provide customer support via phone, email, and possibly through site visits
4. Work with Engineering and Technical Sales staff in order to meet customer needs
5. Work closely with Purchasing and Production departments to maintain a consistent production pattern
6. Perform back up receptionist duties such as answering phones, taking messages, and directing visitors
7. Perform other duties and activities as required
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Must have ability to learn all Broekema Beltway USA product lines
2. Ability to manage customer needs in a positive, proactive manner
3. Job requires a high level of attention to detail to assure orders are taken correctly
4. Ability to type at least 25 wpm and efficiently use a 10 key calculator
5. Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products as well as specialized software
6. Position requires the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines
7. Position requires establishing work priorities and working with others as well as independently in order to meet those priorities
Physical Demands:
1. Position requires ability to sit for extended periods of time
2. Most work is performed using a computer
Work Environment:
1. Work is performed in an office setting
2. Occasional travel to shows or customer fields may be required
Education and/or Experience Required:
1. High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year previous customer service/sales experience in a manufacturing setting
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products; experience with ERP systems preferred
3. Ability to learn new computer software that is specific to the industry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.50 per hour
