What are the responsibilities and job description for the Greenhouse Worker position at Brogue Hydroponics?
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a greenhouse and field environment
- Must be able to work in all temperatures and humidity
- Must be able to stand/stoop/bend throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift minimum 40lbs
- Must work well independently and as a team
- Driving a full size vehicle is a plus but not necessary, but also would be eligible for higher pay rate
Greenhouse duties involve but not limited too picking/harvesting/planting, weeding, etc. Must be able to accomplish minimum harvesting rates. Jobs at the greenhouses needs to be done efficiently while considering quality of the product. It involves a lot of walking and can be physically demanding. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., work well in a fast pace environment, able to take direction, and self-motivated. This is a part time entry level position.
For full time applicants market shifts can be available. Farmer's market stand attendee position involves loading van, setting up, making displays, help customers select produce, making change, record inventory, help with quality control, and return to the farm and unload the van. An outgoing high energy person excels at market! Market days can vary from 10-13 hour days and weekends a must.
