We are now Hiring a Summer Camp Counselor!
Compensation: Full-time or Part-time Hourly, Depending upon experience (Non-tipping Club)
Schedule: Lunch and Dinner shirts, weekends and holidays are necessary
Location: Broken Sound Club - 2401 Willow Springs Dr, Boca Raton, Florida 33496
Position Summary:
Broken Sound Club is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our Summer Program Team! As a Summer Program Counselor, you will play a key role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for our campers. If you love working with kids, enjoying sports and outdoor activities, and have a passion for making summer unforgettable, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Our summer camp program taking place June – August at Broken Sound Club.
- Provide a warm, welcoming and secure environment for our camp attendees
- Enforce safety protocols.
- Assist Coaches for sports when doing activities ( Including Golf, Tennis, Pickle, and Basketball.)
- Overview of the weekly sign up sheet for which sports the campers will be attending
- Help with instruction, and rules of any activity.
- Other activities may include indoor activities
- Oversee safety measure when campers are swimming that they follow pool rules
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to exceed members expectations.
- Communication skills and attention to surroundings
Education & Work Experience:
- High School Diploma preferred but not required
- Prior experience working with children in a camp, coaching, or educational setting is a plus!
- Ability to swim is a must
- CPR Certification is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, handle objects, tools, talk, or hear, taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb, and balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to stand for a long period of time (up to average 8-hour shifts)
- Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, stoop and kneel if needed.
- Frequent bending
- Frequent walking
- Be able to be indoor and outdoor environments.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
