Job Description

Job Title : Physical Therapy Assistant - Home Health

Job Specialty : PTA Home Health

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 17 : 00)

Guaranteed Hours : Full-time, 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 1-year experience required

License : Valid MI license required

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required

Must-Have :

Experience in various work settings, including Acute Care, Outpatient Clinic, Rehabilitation Hospital, and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Experience with orthopedics and neurological conditions
Knowledge and ability to work with various rehabilitation equipment and devices

Job Description :

Work every other weekend with a day off during the week on rotation

No requirement for on-call or float shifts

Provide therapy in multiple settings including Acute Care, Outpatient Clinics, Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Skilled Nursing Facilities

Utilize a variety of equipment and devices in therapy procedures, such as crutches, gait belts, prosthetics, walkers, and shoulder slings

Treat a wide range of orthopedic issues, including hip fractures, post-operative surgeries (cervical, shoulder, and spinal), total hip and knee replacements

Address neurological conditions such as cognitive disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson's Disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries

Ensure all vaccinations are up to date, with a flu vaccine required; medical exemptions allowed

Comply with training modules and orientations as part of employment requirements

Kindly ensure to include proof of Flu vaccination upon submission, and adhere to return staff policy, where applicable.
