Title

Human Resources Analyst

Responsibilities include administration of policies / procedures. The position is highly visible requiring advanced interpersonal and communication skills, as well as project and database management skills; customers include all levels of management, employees, physicians, and their family members, as well as vendors and representatives from external agencies. Maintains and updates data, and provides analysis and interpretation of such to customers. Assists in coordinating activities and events. Provides high-level support and acts as liaison / backup to HR Specialists. Prepares a variety of reports, charts, graphs and correspondence required for the analysis of activities, and performs other duties as required to provide quality service to customers. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

6-12 months of on-the-job experience to develop a working knowledge of organizational and department policies and procedures required.

  • Experience in employment / compensation and / or benefits administration preferred
  • Must have analytical ability necessary to prepare and verify cost data; monitor utilization, costs and effectiveness of programs and prepare analyses and input to recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to demonstrate the appropriate application of knowledge and skills to resolve routine to semi-complex personal, technical or administrative problems required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications is required (such as Word, Power-Point, Excel). Experience with computerized HRIS systems, and database management is preferred.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively in verbal and written form to customers who request information or require assistance, and present programs as necessary. Contacts may involve potentially difficult or sensitive situations.

Work which produces high levels of mental / visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time.

The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.

  • Documents, records, analyzes and monitors data / reports
  • Ensures complete and accurate record of correspondence and communication on file for areas of responsibility.
  • Develops and maintains spreadsheets and databases to input, maintain and retrieve data, track statistics, monitor costs and activities and to provide regular and recurring reports which depict activities regarding participants / costs, i.e., pension calculation / information, position manager, disabilities, payments for benefits, etc.
  • Compiles statistical data to provide regular reports and graphs, which depict month to month and year to date activity.
  • Responds to general questions reflecting HR processes
  • Assist / lead projects specific to employment and comp / benefits
  • Provides support to employment reception & benefits reception areas as needed or requested
