Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting precision-machined parts using a variety of measurement tools, including a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), optical comparator, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision instruments. This role is critical in ensuring that all parts meet strict quality standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined components.
- Utilize CMM, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) symbols.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.
- Identify and document non-conformances, assist in root cause analysis, and work with the team to implement corrective actions.
- Ensure that all measuring and test equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Work closely with CNC machinists and engineers to ensure parts meet quality standards throughout production.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance quality and efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality inspection in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CMM programming and operation (experience with [your CMM brand/software] preferred).
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
