Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all manufactured parts and assemblies meet our rigorous quality standards and conform to customer specifications. This role is essential in maintaining the trust and satisfaction of our aerospace and medical industry clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined parts using a variety of inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, optical comparators).
- Interpret and verify parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T standards.
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of quality data.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address non-conformances.
- Verify material certifications, process certifications, and other customer-required documentation.
- Support the Quality Management System (QMS) and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical degree or certification in quality inspection or machining (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Experience operating a CMM (preferred) and/or using CMM programming software
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
