Bronx Community Health Network (BCHN): was founded in 1996 to ensure that the socio-economically depressed and medically underserved residents of the Bronx have access to high-quality and comprehensive healthcare services, Bronx Community Health Network (BCHN) is a not-for-profit, community-based organization and Federally Qualified Health Center. The organization provides a wide range of comprehensive, coordinated primary medical, oral, and mental health care and related diagnostic, pharmacy, social support, and enabling services for medically underserved/uninsured residents. BCHN’s service area includes the entire borough of the Bronx, including all 25 zip codes.
BCHN mission: To improve the health of people and families in the Bronx; provide access to affordable, quality health care, especially for uninsured persons; promote disease prevention, early treatment and healthful lifestyles; and obtain financial and other resources for programs and services.
About the Role: The Manager of Clinical Informatics is responsible for all computer application training for staff. This individual will continuously improve the value of information by ensuring that data and content are accurate, reliable, up-to-date, consistent, and meaningful to end users. Health informatics specialists analyze health data and optimize the delivery of healthcare services in collaboration with healthcare providers. They gather pertinent healthcare data, develop effective information systems and procedures and supply healthcare providers with access to shared information.

- Ensure that personal health information and business information are available only to authorized users.
- Develop a EMR-related workflows and train others how software applications are used to support it.
- Collaborate with end users to understand requirements and work processes that can be improved using information technology.
- Anticipate and recognize when technology changes have a high impact on the organization and assist with change management to maximize benefits and minimize operational disruption.
- Assist with troubleshooting software, equipment, access, and user problems.
- Create training materials and application testing.
- Perform data and statistical analysis as requested.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, human services, public health, information systems, healthcare informatics, or similar field of study. Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of clinical informatics experience in a clinic or healthcare setting or at least five years of experience in healthcare management, healthcare related experience in database management, data collection, and statistical analysis creating and using reports in multiple electronic medical records management system
- High level of competency with computer software. (Required)
- Certified Professional in Health Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
- Deep expertise with modern Electronic Health Record Systems.
- Must have strong analytical skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with population health and data management and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, relational databases, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to collaborate and work well as part of a team.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
