Server/Cashier

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Server/Cashier to join our team. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash and credit transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas. Responsibilities:

- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring that they have a pleasant dining experience.
- Manage cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, making recommendations and answering questions as needed.
- Monitor table assignments and adjust accordingly to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including the kitchen and restrooms.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain food safety standards.
- Help with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory management.
- Provide a positive and helpful environment for all guests, colleagues, and management.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a food service or retail environment, preferably in a restaurant or fast food setting.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with guests of all ages and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
- Basic knowledge of sales and retail math.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills:

- Proven sales skills, with the ability to upsell and promote menu items.
- Experience operating a cash register or point-of-sale system.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices, with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and help with opening and closing procedures.
- Experience with time management and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in basic math and cash handling procedures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour
