Bronx House Summer Day Camp Instructors will be responsible for conducting fun, engaging educational or art instruction to campers. This position runs 7.5 weeks from June 27-August 16, 9:45 am-3:45 pm, Mon-Fri.

Qualifications
- A knowledge base in the designated area of specialty or equivalent/necessary training.
- Demonstrated skills and competency as an instructor or artist.
- Understanding of conflict resolution, dedication, and mentoring concepts.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong group management skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Ensure that age-appropriate activities are implemented for youth, grades K-6 (or K-10 in some specialties).
- Plan, organize, and oversee varied activities related to the specialty with the support of unit leaders, group leaders, CITs, volunteers, and other specialty staff.
- Build positive relationships with youth.
- Encourage youth to participate in all available activities actively; promote respect and teamwork.
- Prepare campers for Bronx House culminating activities and events/ performances.
- Provide a safe, structured environment for student learning.
- Attend all required trainings.
- Plan and post activity schedules, as necessary.
- Maintain and supervise the use of all specialty-related equipment, reporting necessary maintenance and updates regularly to the Program Director.
- Make periodic reports/announcements about the designated specialty.
- Report to and provide necessary assistance to the Director and Unit Leaders when specialties are not in session.
- Participating in the total camp program including, all-camp events, opening and closing day.
Salary : $17 - $25
