Position Overview: As a Program Assistant, you will play a key role in the successful implementation of our programs. Your primary responsibility will be to support program coordination, student engagement, required reporting, and administrative tasks. You will work closely with our team to ensure the program's effectiveness in providing guidance and opportunities for our students participants

Key Responsibilities:
- Program Coordination: Collaborate with the program director to plan and execute program activities, workshops, and events. Ensure that program objectives are met efficiently.
- Recruitment: Assist in recruiting students for the program by working with schools and community organizations in the Bronx and Westchester Counties.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of program participants, track attendance, input participant participation, and partner linkages in required reporting systems, and assist in evaluating program effectiveness through data collection.
- Communications: Facilitate effective communication between program participants, staff, and stakeholders. Prepare and distribute program-related materials. Keeps website and social media up to date with upcoming events and programming.
- Logistics: Manage logistical aspects of program events, such as scheduling, transportation, and facility arrangements.
- Student Support: Provide programmatic guidance and support to students participants. Assist students in setting goals and monitoring their progress.
- Program Evaluation: Support the assessment of program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties, including maintaining program budgets, preparing reports, and managing program supplies.
Qualifications:
- Administrative Experience in a related field (e.g., education, social work, public health, or a related discipline).
- Passion for promoting diversity in healthcare and a strong commitment to supporting underrepresented students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with students, community partners, and legislative offices.
- Organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Experience in program coordination or support, especially in an educational or community-based setting, is a plus.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (English and Spanish) are advantageous.
