Overview
Oversee Rehabilitation Services and staff for the BronxCare Special Care Center. The Director of Rehabilitation
will establish guidelines, workflows, and metrics for the facilities Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and
Speech Therapy Programs.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors and other employees.
Behaves in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of BronxCare Health System and its employees.
Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department.
Contribution and participationincludes data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with risk management and claims activities, support of and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams, consistent adherence to the specific rules and regulations of the BronxCare Health System

Qualifications
-Bachelors degree required.
-Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation practices
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and
communicate with patients and their families
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems such as AllScript and NetHealth (Rehab Optima).
- Knowledge of utilization management principles and practices
- Familiarity with managed care systems and reimbursement processes
- Experience in Sub-Acute and Long Term Care required.
