Typical Job Duties : Review consults, divide workload with peers, patient assessments (head-to-toe), collaborate with interdisciplinary team (doctor, SW, RNs, etc.), placing wound care orders, patient education, and more.
Job Requirements
Must have 2 plus years experience inpatient clinical experience
Prefer wound care experience
Required Certifications : BLS, WOCN (Takes approx. 1 year to get) OR WCEI (Takes up to 1 week to get)
Schedule Information
Shifts & Scheduling : Monday to Friday 8-4 or 9-5
Weekend Requirements : Weekends are optional
Holiday Requirements : Optional
Additional Details
Patients : 20 consults per day follow ups (for the whole team)
Ratios : Workload divvied out by unit
Equipment / Treatments : KCI wound vacs, wound care dressings, a lot of different dressing types and treatments
Manager / Supervisor : Manager & Director of Wound Care is Tamara
Floating Requirements : All of inpatient- MS, PCU, ICU & OR as needed
Scrub Color : Royal blue scrubs or casual dress
Unit Specific Orientation : 1 day nursing orientation with IT; as much as needed with a preceptor.
