RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works collaboratively with the Director of Grants & Contracts Cycle Director to support pre-and post-award grant activities
  • Supervise a team of grants accountants, providing training and guidance on claims process and requirements.
  • Review and verify accurate billing and revenue are entered in both the billing and accounting systems.
  • Provide financial oversight for funds related to grant projects.
  • Follow up with funders on outstanding invoices to ensure timely reimbursement on claims
  • Assist with Agency audit and prepare audit documentation and requirement for individual funder audit
  • Coordinate meetings with Program managers to discuss status of budgets vs actual and action planning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree – at least 6 years related experience in nonprofit accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree – at least 7 years related experience in nonprofit accounting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial planning and analysis
  • Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills o Ability to work within time constraints, manage multiple tasks at the same time and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Accounting Software Intacct / Nexonia is a plus
