We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trauma Acute Care Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The PA will provide exceptional care to patients with acute and critical injuries, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced trauma and acute care setting. - Day, night, or PRN shifts available
- Patient volumes : 15-35
- Case type : general surgery and emergency surgery, trauma, admissions and consults
- Key Responsibilities : rounding, writing notes, follow up, efficiently coordinating dischargesThe trauma team's skills set includes but not limited to :
- Mix of trauma and emergency general surgery admissions and consults
- Rounding on patients
- Coordinating effective discharges
- Central lines
- Chest tubesMinimum Requirements :
- Education - BS from an AMA accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Experience - Trauma experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Licensure / Certification - MMG - Licensed to practice as a Physician's Assistant in the State of Maryland. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy. If a code cart is maintained in the practice ACLS and PALS (if applicable) are required. Wound Center Physician Assistant requires ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
- Knowledge / Skills / Abilities - Fluency in coding, ICD-9 and CPT, or commitment to acquire.
