Classification : Non-Exempt
Reports to : Store Manager
Provide direction and oversight to team members working in the production area.
Communicate regularly operating targets and progress against standards and expectations.
Have the ability to hire, select, teach, train, develop, coach and counsel employees as needed.
Have the ability to motivate the team regularly and ensure efficient operations by troubleshooting bottlenecks and working side by side with team members through the processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
Ability to handle the physical requirements of sitting, walking, bending, squatting, climbing and twisting on an intermittent or continuous basis
Utilize all employees efficiently and effectively to achieve production quotas
Develops staff by recruiting talent, engaging employees, orienting new hires, and training to company policy and procedures
Rotate and cross train employees in order that they may be able to do several jobs as necessary
Monitors performance through the use of employee attainment recordkeeping
High energy level, strong leadership skills, independent thinker
Maintains clean work environment
Teach, train and coach team members to standard
Ensure all merchandise is priced according to standards
Oversight and quality control is maintained for items going to both sales floor and export
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Education, Experience, Training Required :
High School Diploma or GED preferred
2-5 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably with a big box chain.
Consumer retail or thrift businesses preferred
2 years or more of managing teams through goal setting, productivity measurements and achieving targeted results
Past line management experience not limited to hiring, termination, performance review, and policy adherence.
