Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Rewind Operator to join our team at Brook Whittle Ltd. This role involves converting large rolls of printed and non-printed labels into specified quantities for shipping, splicing and rewinding end or remnant rolls into reusable rolls.
The successful candidate will have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, as well as possess good verbal and written communication skills.
This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, paid time off and 401(k).
Key Responsibilities:
- Converts large rolls of printed and non-printed labels into specific quantities as requested by the customer
- Slits labels into correct size if necessary
- Completes score sheets which calculates the amount of work being performed
- Cleans work area
- Lifts between 10 and 50 pound rolls of paper
- Bags and organizes rolls on carts for Shipping
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of mechanics and hazard communication standards and material safety data sheets
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:
- Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions
- Constantly required to walk, stand, grasp, reach, push/pull, bend, stoop, twisting and use of manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time
- Regularly required to hear, speak, and use color vision
- Regularly required to carry and lift up to 50 lbs
