Brook Whittle, one of the fastest-growing, sustainable, printing solutions companies, is currently seeking a full- time Prepress Graphic Technician (Mon-Fri 6am-2pm).
A Prepress Graphic Technician ensures the smooth preparation of files for flexographic printing. This role involves reviewing and optimizing artwork, performing preflight checks, troubleshooting issues, and creating print-ready proofs. A solid understanding of color theory and experience with Flexo plate-making software is essential. The ideal candidate will work closely with designers, clients, and the production team to ensure high-quality output under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, technical expertise, and a passion for print production are key for success in this position.

- Review and prepare files for flexographic printing
- Perform preflight checks to ensure files meet print specifications
- Optimize designs for color separations and platemaking
- Create and approve print-ready proofs
- Troubleshoot prepress issues to ensure smooth production
- Collaborate with designers, customer service and production teams
- Adhere to production schedules to meet tight deadlines
- Ensure final files meet quality standards and production/customer specifications
- Self-educating and driven about new software/technology
- 5 years of related experience in Prepress, Graphics, or Printing (training available for exceptional candidates) Strong communication, diplomacy and problem-solving skills are required
- Demonstrate a close attention to detail (in interview process).
- Strong organization skills and documentation for projects or procedures (examples in interview process are encouraged)
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of the flexographic printing process and its related specifications and limitations; specifically, ink lay down order, trapping and stepping layouts
- Familiarity 4/c process, spot colors, varnish, foil, die cuts, etc.
- Strong background in Illustrator and other Adobe software
- Familiarity with ArtPro and Esko software is an advantage
