Brook Whittle, one of the fastest-growing, sustainable, printing solutions companies, is currently seeking a full- time Prepress Quality Administrator for 1st shift (Monday- Friday 6am-2pm).
The Pre-Press Quality Administrator is responsible for assisting the Quality Control Supervisor & Pre-Press Manager, ensuring print ready files and printed product meet required standards. This role requires strong attention to detail and technical proficiency in both pre-press and print production processes.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
•Support QC Supervisor with customer complaint investigations by pulling retains, ticket information, 1st articles, etc.
•Assist with basic QA checks on all lines following the established SOP guidelines.
•Utilize electronic vision system to ensure proofs and printed materials match the customer supplied art/approved proofs.
•Perform instrument verification, calibration, cleaning and maintenance.
•Liaison between customer service, pre-press, and production teams to troubleshoot and document non-conformances
•Support pre-press department by preparing files and quality inspecting print-ready proofs for customer approval
•Quality check TIFF/LEN files for plating and stepped layouts for digital printing
•Participate in QA and Pre-Press department projects related to form, function, and fit based upon customer’s specifications.
•Participate in facility continuous improvement efforts.
•Assists in training individuals and other team members as assigned.
•Performs other job duties as assigned.
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant pre-press experience required (3years).
•A basic understanding of common Quality Systems and problem-solving tools.
•Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Applications, Automation Engine (Esko), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
•Understand and use the X-Rite Color Management System.
•Excellent communication and time management skills.
•Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure, and adopt new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
•Safely and efficiently perform all essential job functions in accordance with company policies and operating procedures.

•Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.
•Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.
