- Monitors production to maintain steady workflow
- Evaluates performance of individual employees based on goals for productivity and quality.
- Develops and implements standard operating procedures to promote efficiency and quality production
- Supervises and trains employees on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ensures compliance with established plant policies and procedures
- Implements production schedules by coordinating personnel assignments.
- Communicates with other department managers and supervisors regarding production schedules and requirements to ensure product quality and resource efficiency.
Job Requirements
- The minimum education required for this position is a High School Diploma or Equivalent. May include specialized classes beyond high school.
- Typically possess 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience. Prior supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
- First level of supervision or project lead. Responsible for a team performing one function for a project. Leads, assigns and monitors work for a team.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to read, interpret and create simple correspondence and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations.
- Requires understanding of the overall printing production process and knowledge of the stamp functions.
- Basic knowledge of office equipment and software.
- Regular exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. No more than 30% of work time
- Incumbent constantly required to hear, speak, articulate, use color vision and use manual dexterity
- Incumbent regularly required to stand, walk, grasp and reach
- Incumbent occasionally required to climb, lift up to 30 lbs, carry, and sit for prolonged periods of time.
