Title: Assembler (1st shift)
Location: Carlstadt - NJ

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assembly Line Operator the Assembler responsibilities include working with the other Assembly staff to efficiently and professionally assemble air filters and to constantly find ways to maximize each Assembly Line production output and efficiency. To be successful as an Assembler you should be a positive and effective team player, easy to get along with, a trustworthy person, open to feedback, accountable, persevering, loyal and engaged with the work.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently Assemble Quality Air Filters.
- Keep count of production numbers to not over, or, under work order quantity.
- Reject poor quality materials / components, do not allow them to pass into Assembly.
- Attend to Feeder change-over duties.
- Maintain and keep line equipment clean.
- Communicate needs and numbers with Pleating machine operator and packer and runner.
- Be accountable to the Production Plan and to instructions given either verbally or as written in SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Monitor the progress of your work and ensure you are running according to the day's production plan – see if your line is in front or behind plan and take the necessary measures.
- Advise Assembly Line Operator or Assembly Team Lead of any equipment, supply or staff problems affecting the plan immediately to defend plan.
- Attend training under the guidance of Plant Leads as required. Ensure work is done according to the training given.
- Maintain line cleanliness and orderliness. Ensuring 6S (Sweep, Shine, Signage, Standardize, Sustain and Safety) standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
- Standing through all work hours.
- Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require.
- Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
- Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
