Address - 11 Boulevard Ave, Catskill, NY 12414
Full-Time - Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
Salary - $20-24/hr

As an Insurance/Collections Coordinator, you will be providing essential administrative support to the office including but not limited to:
- Collecting on outstanding balances from patients by monitoring the 30-60-90 aging report; works in collaboration with the Practice Administrator, the Finance Department and other staff to contact patients for payment.
- Collecting on outstanding balances from insurance carriers.
- Collaborating with Practice Administrator to send billing statements to patients on a monthly basis.
- Interacting with patients effectively on billing issues, checking credit and setting up payment plans, and processing refunds to patients as necessary.
- Applies insurance payments for dental work performed to patient ledger.
- Verifies patient insurance benefits prior to dental work being performed; accurately communicates to front desk staff, billing, and patients regarding patient insurance coverage.
- Creates and maintains accurate and up-to-date insurance profiles for each patient indicating the financial responsibility of the patient and the financial responsibility of the insurance company.
- Follows up on unpaid claims with insurance carriers to collect on balances for dental work owed by the carrier.
- Serves as a liaison between insurance carriers, staff, and patients to resolve any disputes/concerns and maintains a positive working relationship; corrects and resubmits claim upon carrier denial.
- Interacts effectively with patients as needed on patient billing questions.
- Works with insurance carriers and others to ensure dentists attain and maintain proper practice credentials.
