Overview
The College seeks to build a pool of qualified applicants to teach DGMD101 Digital Media. DGMD101 provides students with a foundational understanding of digital media production. This course offers students an exploration of digital tools, techniques, and storytelling in the multi-formatted, modern media landscape. Students will learn the basics in an array of digital media practices, gain a theoretical and conceptual understanding of digital media and be exposed to subjects like user experience (UX) and design thinking. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in digital media, effective communication skills, commitment to student success, and the ability to foster an inclusive and interactive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures that introduce students to the basics of digital media production, including digital images, audio, video, and multimedia storytelling.
- Facilitate discussions to aid in understanding of course concepts and analysis of communication processes.
- Assign and grade writing assignments, projects, and exams to assess student understanding.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback and support to help students succeed academically.
- Cultivate an inclusive classroom environment that values diverse perspectives and promotes respectful dialogue.
