About the Position:
We are seeking a qualified instructional aide to support the learning process at Brookdale Community College.
This is a temporary, hourly position requiring day and evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist faculty members with instructional tasks and prepare demonstration materials.
- Tutor students individually and in small groups, focusing on study skills and academic success.
- Supervise work-study and student help assignments, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Respond to complex student inquiries, showcasing expertise in subject matter and learning objectives.
- Administer special tests and monitor student progress, offering valuable feedback to instructors.
- Maintain accurate records, schedules, and laboratory facilities, ensuring a seamless learning environment.
- Teach and supervise students in scheduled laboratory sections, promoting hands-on learning experiences.
- Grade tests and laboratory experiences, providing faculty with essential feedback.
- Recommend high-quality lab supplies, materials, equipment, and software.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Oceanography, Environmental Science, Geology, Meteorology, or related field.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work experience in a related field is highly desirable.
