Job Description
The Admissions Clinical Advisor is responsible for reviewing pre-admission materials to help determine medical necessity, clinical appropriateness, and provide referrals when needed. In addition, the Clinical Advisor collaborates with the UR department and Admissions Department to ensure that pre-authorizations are completed for incoming clients when needed.
Responsibilities
To ensure appropriate client placement. In addition, the Clinical Advisor will be responsible for managing and completing special projects related to training, insurance, reporting and inter-departmental communications including but not limited to clinical screenings / assessments, interventions and pre-authorizations.
- Conducting clinical reviews of pre-admission screenings, assessments and / or reviewing clinical notes and other documentation from referring hospitals, professionals, providers, etc.
Make clinical recommendations to Admissions Staff & Leadership, as well as Division Staff & Leadership on level of care when appropriate
This is a full-time position at our corporate office.
