Admissions Coordinator
Full Time Days Weekend On-Call Rotation
Pay Rate up to $30 / hour

Responsibilities of an Admissions Coordinator :
- Reviews resident census information to keep informed of room / facility availability.
- Greets office visitors and answers telephones in a professional and helpful manner.
- Interviews prospective residents, family members and / or responsible parties, in person and by telephone.
- Assists prospective residents, family members and / or responsible parties in obtaining pertinent information and services provided by assisted living or the skilled nursing center.
- Schedules and conducts tours. Accompanies prospective residents, family members / responsible parties through nursing center or assisted living, describes services and features, discuss rates.
- Documents in CRM program general information on all leads and all activities related to the inquiry scheduling follow up as needed.
- Assists prospective resident and / or responsible parties with completion of admissions contract, forms, and required paperwork.
- Ensures completion of admissions contract and all documents required prior to resident's admission.
- Routes completed admissions documents appropriately, and in a timely manner.
- Coordinates admission of residents, and communicates information to facility contacts, resident and / or responsible parties.
- Provides direct support to Liaisons by screening faxed or online referrals in various hospital portals. Assist with contacting referral sources and families as needed to help with the volume of referrals processed.
- Conducts and participates in company open-house events as scheduled. Assists Marketing Department with trade shows and seminars as needed.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, seminars, and trainings as scheduled.
- Interacts with residents, visitors, staff, and general public in a professional and helpful manner while performing daily duties.
- Has the ability to work assigned work hours including on call weekend rotation and occasional evening Marketing Events.
Requirements of an Admissions Coordinator :
Bachelor's degree (B. A) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, health-care related regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of customers, and the general public.
- Have basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to learn CRM and EHR software as well as various hospital web based programs.
