Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide support for the firm s line-of-business applications as well as Citrix, SQL and SCCM.
- Partner with team members and vendors to resolve issues efficiently while communicating resolutions clearly and professionally.
- Administer the lifecycle of applications, including packaging, updates, deployment, and retirement, keeping alignment with best practices.
- Maintain, update, and optimize images for all workstations and servers to ensure standards and reliability.
- Participate in monthly security patching and updates, ensuring all endpoints are compliant, up to date, and secure. Address out-of-band and emergency vulnerabilities as needed.
- Proactively monitor systems and applications to identify and address issues before they impact users, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Act as an escalation point for application-related issues, and helpdesk escalations, providing prompt resolutions, root cause analysis, and recommendations.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, ensuring compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and change management protocols.
- After-Hours Support: Provide after-hours support during maintenance windows, projects, or emergencies as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required skills, experience and qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive experience in an application support or a similar role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. Candidates with additional experience and advanced expertise may be considered for a senior-level position.
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) for OS deployment, application management, and patch distribution.
- Proficiency in administering Citrix, Azure, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages for task automation.
- Familiarity in administering firm applications such as iManage Work, Microsoft 365 suite, CAM, Litera Desktop Suite, Intune MDM, Zoom.
- Experience with SQL Server, including query writing and database management.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and industry best standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering client-driven solutions.
- Effective communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to balance attention to detail with managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to provide support during after-hours when needed.
- This position requires residency in California and can be based in our San Francisco, Oakland, North Bay or Sacramento office.
