Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counseling Assistant) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals facing substance abuse issues and be passionate about making a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with chemical dependency
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs
- Assist in developing treatment plans and goals for clients
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on topics such as grief counseling, PTSD care, and working with people with developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Work closely with pediatric clients and their families to provide specialized care
Experience
- Experience in grief counseling and providing support to individuals facing trauma
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques for assessing client needs
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Previous experience in pediatric care is a plus
- Ability to conduct group therapy sessions effectively
