The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing management of property boundaries, vegetation, shoreline activities, and recreation facilities.

Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, the Land Use Specialist will manage Brookfield’s Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts real estate portfolio by preparing, negotiating and executing real estate transactions for their assigned facilities including rights of way, easements, permits, leases, and covenants. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing management of property boundaries, vegetation, shoreline activities, and recreation facilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist in the execution of real estate transactions including, but not limited to, purchase/sales agreements, right of ways, access easements, licenses, amendments, agreements, leases, permits;
- Protect and preserve company property and property rights through prevention and legal action as required while minimizing liability;
- Responsible for leading property and recreation area inspections, licensing and permitting programs, as well as enforcing land and shoreline management policies focusing on environmental and sustainable solutions;
- Ensure timely development and submission of letters and reports to meet state and federal regulatory requirements;
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with regulatory agencies, community organizations, realtors, lakefront owners, campgrounds, general public, and other Stakeholders;
- Act as Project Manager for vegetation maintenance and surveying contractors to assist operations staff, including writing and enforcing job safety plans;
- Strong time management skills with the ability to organize, plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects;
- Ability to research and assess deeds, rights-of-way, easements, and similar documents;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Attention to detail and follow-through and have the ability to keep data and documents organized and error free;
- Be innovative, self-directed and able to work and contribute in a fast-paced team environment;
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and thoroughness.
- The position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s license. A motor vehicle report that shows driving history, including information about your driver’s license, will be required if you are selected as the successful candidate;
- This role travels to facilities located in ME, NH and MA. Limited overnight travel may be required.
- Successful completion of University or College in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience, including real estate, professional land management, and/or land management
- Proven ability to work in complex, dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
- GIS skills preferred
Bonus: 10%
Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
