About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Vice President Global Procurement and Development, the Senior Manager, EPC Procurement is responsible for leading strategic supplier relationships with Brookfield’s largest EPC suppliers and fostering collaboration Brookfield’s Portfolio Companies to ensure the successful execution of projects. This role is pivotal in managing our EPC relationships and collaborating with our portfolio companies to secure strategic supply agreements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in EPC procurement and a deep understanding of the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• EPC Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with solar, wind and BESS EPC contractors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective procurement solutions
• Strategic Sourcing: Collaborate with portfolio companies to identify and leverage opportunities for strategic sourcing, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and drive results
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Brookfield’s Portfolio Companies and corporate office to ensure alignment with procurement strategies and seamless execution thereof. Provide new Portfolio Companies support when required in establishing or developing upon their internal EPC procurement approach
• Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. This includes identifying opportunities for innovation, sustainability, and cost reduction within the procurement process
• Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for major EPC contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company goals
• Supplier Evaluation: Assess and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, cost parameters, and project timelines
• Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends and developments in the renewable energy sector to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks
• Data-driven approach: Develop and maintain KPI’s to track and report key functional metrics to reduce cost and/or improve effectiveness

Knowledge and Experience Required

• 10 years Procurement experience, with 3 years of experience in Renewable Energy with a focus on EPC utility-scale development projects
• A university degree / college diploma in Procurement/Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or Project Management
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex procurement projects and drive cost savings and efficiencies
• Possess a deep working knowledge of the renewable energy US EPC landscape. Knowledge of EPC markets outside of the US is considered an asset
• Possesses a strong understanding of procurement contracts along with excellent negotiation skills, with particular experience negotiating EPC agreements
• Understanding of ITC and PTC tax credits would be considered an asset
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven track record of developing and executing a successful EPC procurement strategy
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract law
• Professional designations including but not limited to PMP, P. Eng, or a recognized Supply Chain Certification is considered an asset

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.

Pay Range: $120K-180k/yr plus bonus
