Based in New York, Brookfield is seeking an Associate candidate to support the origination, execution and management of investments within the Brookfield Infrastructure Group. The individual will sit within BISS, a new strategy which seeks to invest in infrastructure and renewable power across the middle market. This is an opportunity to be one of the early team members of a fast-growing strategy within a premier investment management franchise.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities
- Performing due diligence including comprehensive valuation analysis
- Developing and reviewing detailed financial models
- Conducting asset, corporate and industry research
- Preparation of presentation materials and analysis for the fund’s investment committees and third parties
- Sourcing and screening for new investment opportunities
- Portfolio management of both new and existing investments
- Interacting with management teams and fund investors
- Contribute to a dynamic, team-oriented working culture
- Assist in fundraising workstreams
- Assessing legal risks and conducting legal documentation review
- Demonstrated track record of excellence in academic, professional and personal contexts
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking or comparable experience
- Preferably, experience in infrastructure equity investing
- Strong excel skills and complex modelling ability
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented approach
- Self-motivated individual focused on building a business for long-term growth
