Landscaper

Brookgreen Gardens is looking for a Landscaper to join our team!

Our Landscapers are responsible for performing basic landscaping and maintenance tasks on the developed and undeveloped areas of Brookgreen Gardens, thereby ensuring that these areas are maintained at the highest levels of quality.

Examples of duties:

• Performs basic landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing grass, raking leaves, in all of the developed and undeveloped areas of Brookgreen.
• Performs special landscape maintenance tasks such as tree pruning, irrigation repair and installation, installation of landscape features and infrastructure, and the preparation of new planting areas.
• Operates and performs routine service on power and hand-held landscape and gardening equipment.
• Maintains roads, fences, and gates in the undeveloped areas of Brookgreen.
• Performs emergency landscaping and safety work required by inclement weather.

Minimum Qualifications:The ability to read, write, and follow directions; the ability to perform the heavy work required in the maintenance of a large property; the ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions; the ability to communicate effectively; the ability to work comfortably with other staff members; demonstrated commitment to excellence in work products and relationships with co-workers and a desire for professional training in landscaping.

Prior experience as a groundskeeper or landscaper or the demonstrated abilities to handle maintenance equipment and a high school diploma or GED.
