The Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven Hospital is pleased to announce an opening for a Master’s Social Worker (MSW). Brookhaven Hospital is Tulsa’s premier Psychiatric Hospital, specializing in the rehabilitation of adults with neurologic disorders such as acquired brain injury. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for individuals and families.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy for patients with diverse needs
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Offer education and resources to clients regarding coping strategies, community services, and support networks.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, educators, and community partners.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Active licensure (LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent).
- Previous experience (2 years) in a clinical setting preferred, including experience with individual and family therapy.
- Experience with individuals with acquired brain injury a plus.
- Strong knowledge of social work principles, ethical guidelines, and clinical techniques.
- Ability to develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Physical Requirements:
Able to transfer, with assistance, patients who weigh over 100 pounds (heavy lifting). Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch to assess and treat patients. Able to move about to accomplish tasks, including moving between buildings, while carrying charts in binders. Able to work at keyboards. Able to manipulate and grasp objects such as paper, staplers, telephones, and other office supplies and equipment. Able to operate a telephone and communicate clearly. Able to complete written and electronic documentation. Some repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers. Able to perform CPR and CPI if necessary.
