Brookings Health System is looking for an experienced professional to fill the position as Director of Ambulance Services.
Brookings Health system is a non-profit City owned health organization offering a full range of inpatient, outpatient, surgery, home health and extended care services. The health system includes the 49-bed Brookings Hospital; a 79-bed skilled nursing home, The Neighborhoods at Brookview; congregate living apartments for seniors, Brookhaven Estates; Arlington Medical Center; White Medical Clinic; Volga Medical Clinic and Yorkshire Eye Clinic.

This will be clinical and management position with a responsibility for coordinating pre-hospital services to patients by means of basic and/or advanced life services within current paramedic guidelines. Maintains ambulances and ambulance equipment, implements ambulance program development and provides supervision to ambulance department. Responsible for supervising 20 or more emergency medical staff.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
1. Incumbent must be licensed to work as a Paramedic in South Dakota and have a valid South Dakota driver’s license.
2. Must have at least two years management and leadership experience, and at least five years ambulance experience.
