Brookings Health System is looking for an experienced professional to fill the position as Director of Surgical Services.
Compensation range for this position is $48.89 to $72.38 per hour, depending on experience.
Brookings Health system is a non-profit City owned health organization offering a full range of inpatient, outpatient, surgery, home health and extended care services. The health system includes the 49-bed Brookings Hospital; a 79-bed skilled nursing home, The Neighborhoods at Brookview; congregate living apartments for seniors, Brookhaven Estates; Arlington Medical Center; White Medical Clinic; Volga Medical Clinic and Yorkshire Eye Clinic.
The Director of Surgical Services is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care through the continuum of perioperative care to include outpatient surgery unit; preoperative unit; operating room; post-anesthesia care unit; and sterile processing.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or Master’s degree in nursing preferred
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Current registered nurse licensure in South Dakota
Minimum of two years varied and progressive perioperative services experience or perioperative nursing management experience with increasing level of administrative responsibility and authority.
Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with principles for service excellence.
