Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) is a multi-disciplinary arts center located in Brooklyn, New York. For more than 150 years, BAM has been the home for adventurous artists, audiences, and ideas—engaging both global and local communities. With world-renowned programming in theater, dance, music, opera, film, and much more, BAM showcases the work of emerging artists and innovative modern masters.
BAM is seeking Temporary Cleaners for Dance Africa 2024. The Temporary Cleaners will provide a clean environment for Dance Africa 2024 by collaborating and consulting with others on the custodial staff, Custodial Supervisor and Facilities Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sweeping
- Transport Trash to dumpsters located on Ashland Place and/or St. Felix
- Removing trash from filled trash cans, replacing trash can liners.
- Walking constantly full area of Bazaar grounds
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
- Can work in potentially inclement weather.
- Ability to calmly interact with patrons/employees
- Willingness to handle shifting task priorities
Compensation: $20/hour - nonexempt, Eligible for Sick and Safe Time. Must work 12p-8p or 6p-2p, Friday – Sunday.
