Chemical Handler
Brooklyn Bedding manufacturing in Glendale, AZ will proudly make foam in our state-of-the-art
facility for our mattresses. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chemical materials
handler interested in learning foam pour operations. The chemical materials handler will
support the foam pour operation through the safe movement of foam related chemicals.
Responsibilities
Monitor and operate various pumps, valves, gauges, and piping on necessary equipment
for chemical operations
Loads and loads chemical drums
Manages chemical levels for all chemical storage containers
Operating lab equipment to test process samples
Read and follow work instructions and drawings as provided by QA
Forklift / truck operations to handle and move raw materials
Monitor process from control room to start up/shut down equipment, respond to
alarms, and monitor trends to make necessary adjustments
Qualifications
Chemical handling/processing experience
Forklift Certified
Experience with process operations/equipment including valves, pumps, shredding
equipment, etc.
Minimum of 1 year of related experience
Ensures raw materials are handled properly
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in department
Team collaboration is a must
High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to effectively communicate in English
Must be comfortable working around chemicals and adhere to industry leading safety
policies and protocols.
Must utilize proper PPE. Will be required to be fitted for and wear a respirator and pass
annual required health and wellness testing
Ability to become certified in Hazmat and Hazwopper (All certifications and training will
be provided).
You must be willing to work on a team as well as a self-directed individual contributor
Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and
background check.
