Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician (Night Shift ? Union Position)

Schedule: Night Shift | 6:00 PM ? 6:00 AM (12-hour shifts; rotating or fixed schedule)
Classification: Union Position
Pay: $17.50

Job Summary:

Brooklyn Bottling Co. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician for the night shift. As part of the QA team, you will ensure that all products meet regulatory and company standards for safety, consistency, and quality. This is a union position offering stability, growth potential, and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine product and packaging quality checks during production

• Monitor production lines for compliance with company and FDA/USDA regulations

• Conduct sampling, testing, and inspection of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products

• Accurately document quality checks, deviations, and corrective actions

• Work closely with production staff to identify and resolve quality issues

• Calibrate and maintain QA instruments and equipment

• Ensure proper labeling, coding, and packaging integrity

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP protocols, and food safety standards

• Report any non-conformances to QA Supervisor or Quality Manager immediately

• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in quality assurance or food/beverage manufacturing preferred

• Familiarity with food safety standards, GMPs, HACCP, and related QA protocols

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and remain alert in a fast-paced environment

• Basic computer/data entry skills for logging reports and test results

• Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods

• Team player with good communication skills
