YOU WILL:
- Oversee & Manage a staff of approximately 45 people, including operations, climbing & fitness coaches, maintenance and cleaning staff.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, revenue and expenses for each department monthly/quarterly/annually
- Monitor supplies, payroll, cost and inventory of goods, and expenses for each department monthly/quarterly/annually
- Drive new member acquisition, Member Auto Pay (MAP), membership conversion & retention.
- Accountable for the sales pipeline including sales quotas.
- Meet one-on-one weekly with each Department Manager to ensure collaborative KPIs are followed, and the departments are meeting and exceeding budgetary goals
- Partner with CX team on all membership inquiries, i.e., cancellations, refunds, benefits
- Analyze Member Surveys to ensure the best member experience is delivered
- Local community engagement & development of social groups that use climbing as a tool for inclusion
- Perform daily walk-through inspections to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean, neat, organized, like new, and initiate corrective action if improvement is needed
- Provide effective individual performance evaluations, recognition programs, and awards
- Oversee special events, renovations, and new program launches, ensuring on-time completion within budget and exceeding member expectations
- Lead engaging team meetings, fosters open communication with staff and members, and crafts clear and concise messaging to keep everyone informed and motivated
- Act as a leader, guiding staff and management daily to achieve their true greatness. Be inspiring!
- Maintain a presence during peak weekday weekend business hours, which will require intermittent 6-day weeks, as dictated by business necessity
- All other duties as required
YOU HAVE:
- HS Graduate or Equivalent
- 5 years experience in the fitness, retail, or hospitality industries
- 5 years experience managing 50 team members
- 3 years experience managing Profit and Loss (P&L) statements/revenue/EBITDA budgets
- 3 years management experience
- Experience providing high-end customer service and managing customer concerns
- Excellent interviewing skills
- Schedule availability for nights and weekends
- CPR and AED certified, or ability to get certified
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds
NICE TO HAVE:
- A background in finance or data analytics
- Experience with Approach
- Rock climbing experience
