Event Ambassador (Part Time)

Summary/Objective:
Brooklyn Brewery is seeking an outgoing beer enthusiast Event Ambassador to represent our brands at events throughout New York City Metro and Northern New Jersey area. This is a part-time role that will be responsible for executing various promotional opportunities, including samplings in retail stores and other sales and marketing activities at festivals, bars, brand events, and trade shows to build brand love and drive trial of our products/beers to our target consumers and customers.

Essential Functions:
The right candidate will be able to embody our brand and values and bring Brooklyn Brewery to life in our sales channels. Ideally, this person will already be a member of the local beer scene (including nightlife) in their home market with existing relationships that can help strengthen our brand further in NYC and NJ. A keen interest in and passion for arts and culture of all kinds, including music, food, comedy, film, and activism, are big plusses. Most importantly, this person must love and be knowledgeable about beer and enjoy nightlife responsibly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinating event needs with the US field marketing team, NY sales team, event locations, and vendors
• Sampling/Event set-up and tear-down
• Providing event recaps
• Engaging with consumers in an easy and enthusiastic manner in order to raise brand awareness for Brooklyn Brewery and our brands
• Building relationships with our accounts to further strengthen and support our key accounts
• Capturing and processing newsletter signups
• Event Ambassadors will represent Brooklyn Brewery on average 3-4 times a month. Paid onboarding/training prior to any event work will be provided.
• Hours are subject to change based on current market priorities and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 to apply
• Is extremely reliable with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Thorough knowledge of Brooklyn Brewery’s portfolio, company history, and brand positioning
• Can present brand and product information with enthusiasm and confidence
• Resourceful, diligent, self-starting
• Able to be adaptable in a changing environment
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others
• Able to maintain professionalism in all circumstances; responsible with alcohol
• Comfortable working in bar, restaurant, and nightlife environment.
• Previous hospitality experience (preferred but not required)
• Previous budgeting experience (preferred but not required)
• Knowledge of local market (preferred but not required)
• Weekday evening and weekend availability (preferred but not required)
• Car is a nice to have but not required
• Comfortable lifting or moving 40 lbs. is preferred, but not required (i.e. kegs, event materials, tents, etc.)
   

Salary Range:
The hourly base pay for this role is $25.00 per hour. Actual base pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills.
