Job Title: Account Executive
Reports to: Director, Ticket Sales & Operations
Contract type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Mon-Fri as required, weekends and holidays as needed
Location: Brooklyn, New York, NY
Pay: $38,500 bonus based on sales

The Brooklyn Cyclones, High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, bring an exciting blend of baseball and entertainment to Maimonides Park in Coney Island. The Brooklyn Cyclones are a proud member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH). DBH was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.

Position Overview:
The Cyclones are actively seeking an Account Executive to join their highly dynamic Ticket Sales Team. We believe that Ticket Sales is a vital part of our teams' performance, and our Account Executives play a critical role in that success. We are looking for someone who is interested in growing within the sports industry and curious to learn the inner workings of our business at every level. The individual in this position is expected not only to be an exceptional salesperson but also to deliver outstanding customer service to all clients to ensure fan retention and to establish a positive experience with the brand. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Assist in the renewals of partial plans, season tickets and groups from the prior season.
  • Generate new sales in the same categories through cold-calling and networking.
  • Coordinate group theme night events and generate group sales for these nights.
  • Responsible for greeting & servicing clients attending games.
  • Attend community, business meetings and events to generate leads.
  • Attend little league opening days and similar events.
  • Operate ticket office as scheduled on weekends and special events.
  • Manage paperwork and orders in the ticketing system as assigned.
  • Keep accurate records of calls made and ticket packages sold through CRM system.
  • Customer service-work with & assist fans who purchase tickets in person and on the phone in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Implement social media strategy to expand awareness of participating in Cyclone’s game experiences. 
  • Meet weekly minimum contact requirements & personal revenue goals set by the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • A qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and at least one season of successful experience in ticket sales with a professional sports team or comparable entity.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to have effective and frequent dialogue with clients, sales team, sales manager, and leadership team.
  • Must have strong work ethic and be highly motivated with the abilty to excel in fast-paced, team environment as well as possess an unwavering positive attitude.  
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays & able to commute to Coney Island.

Position is full-time with benefits including paid time-off, 401k, medical benefits.
