RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Partner with senior leadership to ensure that HR practices contribute to organizational success.
- Anticipate HR needs and provide solutions to support business growth and change.
- Talent Acquisition and Retention:
- Oversee the recruitment process to attract top talent.
- Develop retention strategies to maintain a high level of employee satisfaction and minimize turnover.
- Lead talent management programs, including succession planning and career development initiatives.
- Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Foster a positive work culture and environment.
- Address employee concerns and disputes, ensuring a fair and respectful workplace.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives and ensure ongoing communication with employees.
- Performance Management:
- Design and implement performance management systems to evaluate and improve employee performance.
- Provide coaching to managers and employees on performance appraisals and development plans.
- Monitor performance metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry standards regarding compensation.
- Manage the organization’s budget for compensation and benefits.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and create learning and development programs.
- Support leadership development and ensure the ongoing development of employees at all levels.
- Ensure employees have access to career growth opportunities.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Stay up to date on employment law changes and manage compliance programs.
- Address workplace safety, health, and legal risks, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Monitor employee turnover, hiring trends, and workforce demographics.
- Prepare regular reports for the senior management team on HR trends, issues, and performance.
- Guide employees and managers through change processes while maintaining productivity and morale.
- HR Analytics and Reporting:
- Use HR metrics and analytics to make data-driven decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (essential).- Master’s Degree in HR Management, Organizational Development, or an MBA with an HR focus is often preferred.
Professional Certifications Preferred
SHRM-SCP, PHR or CHRP. - Extensive Experience in human resources, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership or managerial role.
- Proven track record in strategic HR planning, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
- Experience in managing teams, leading organizational change, and developing performance management systems.
- Experience in urban and/or low-income areas preferred

- Comfort with accountability and the ability to absorb feedback for the development of your craft and the scholars in your care
Whenever possible, LAB seeks to hire teachers certified in special education and/or teaching English to speakers of other languages, in addition to the subject they teach, to provide additional support to students with special needs and/or limited English proficiency.
COMPENSATION
Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000, commensurate with experience, education, and certification.
