Overview
Brooklyn Public Library has an exciting internship opportunity for currently enrolled SUNY students! Interns will gain valuable, hands-on experience with the expert, behind-the-scenes teams who oversee library operations.

Internship Details
Eligibility: student currently enrolled at a participating SUNY campus
Dates: June 2 - August 8
Location: various departments at the Central Library (10 Grand Army Plaza)
Schedule: Interns may be scheduled to work up to 35 hours per week based on operational needs
Compensation: $22 an hour
Responsibilities
- Learn how the department supports the work of the library
- Work collaboratively as part of the team
- Participate in projects and related tasks (i.e. writing, research, planning, reports, etc.)
- Support team members across the department
- Communicate with colleagues and other relevant stakeholders
Qualifications
- Must be a student currently enrolled at a participating SUNY campus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Motivated self-starter and team player
- Experience with various computer applications (Microsoft 365, Google, etc.)
- Interest in non-profits is a plus
