Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 10:30am-7:30pm; 40 hours per week (some evenings/weekends)

About the Position

Brooklyn SolarWorks is seeking a motivated and self-starting individual to ensure the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse goods. These duties include aiding in inventory upkeep, packing tools/materials for jobs, tracking delivery of shipments, assisting with vehicle fleet management, and organizing and cleaning the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Working with Warehouse and Install managers in maintaining supply of electrical stock.

• Assisting with procurement of parts / components

• Following receiving protocols for deliveries

• Pulling material picklists and performing other prep work for installs

• Loading & unloading vehicles.

• Driving materials to job sites, as needed.

• Organizing & labeling materials in a safe and orderly fashion.

• Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods and material.

• Keeping the warehouse environments clean and tidy.

• Use software to manage / track warehouse stock

• Reporting any damaged/missing goods to the Warehouse Manager.

• Operate heavy machinery like forklifts to move/store inventory.

• Assisting with all aspects of warehouse upkeep and job prep

Required Skill Set

• Highschool diploma required.

• Valid Driver’s license is required.

• Experience driving a forklift is required.

• Comfortable working with power tools

• Familiarity with electrical parts / components is recommended.

• 1-2 year(s) of relevant experience.

• Physically able to lift up to 50lbs or more.

• Required to stand or walk for long periods at a time.

• Team-oriented and friendly disposition.

• Highly organized and detail oriented.

• Ability to work irregular hours when needed.

• Ability to work independently and under moderate supervision.

Preferred Skill Set

• A passion for Brooklyn SolarWork’s mission.

• Knowledge of solar equipment is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with Google Suite
