Job Title: Catholic Music Director and Accompanist

About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Catholic Music Director and Accompanist to join the Whiteman Air Force Base (AFB) Chapel team. This role is essential in supporting the spiritual and religious needs of our service members, providing musical leadership in accordance with Catholic worship traditions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead music during Catholic services, selecting appropriate worship songs and special selections.
- Perform at music team rehearsals as scheduled.
- Support service members' rights to religious expression and freedom.
- Recruit and build cohesive music teams/choirs, engaging volunteer musicians and vocalists.
- Demonstrate proficiency in playing keyboard and/or guitar, as well as quality vocal performance.
- Operate sound and worship music projection systems.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated knowledge of the Christian Faith (Catholic) and familiarity with Catholic musical traditions.
- Experience in worship planning and musical direction.
- Ability to read sheet music and perform in front of a medium to large congregation.
- Successful completion of anin-person audition.
- Ability to work cooperatively with chapel staff and volunteers.
