Job Overview
This role involves coordinating various religious and administrative activities in support of the Catholic community at Fort Knox, including Sunday services, religious education classes, and special masses.
Work Schedule
- The work hours are a flexible schedule consisting of 10 hours a week.
- This includes Sunday morning during the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) and Worship service.
- Approximately 2.5 work hours will be scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, or as per the Coordinator's bi-weekly arrangement with the Staff Chaplain.
- Additionally, work will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday and continue until the service is completed.
Job Duties Include:
- Coordinate with the Catholic Chaplain and Catholic Parish Advisory Council.
- Provide denominationally specific administrative support for Sacraments such as First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.
- Organize parents' meetings for sacramental preparation.
- Support special events in line with the liturgical calendar, including Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter programs.
- Maintain records of parish activities and ensure compliance with Catholic Church requirements.
- Attend and coordinate weekly and monthly meetings for diocesan regulations and ecclesiastical norms.
- Provide clerical support, including word processing, filing, and telephonic coordination.
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Familiarity with Catholic dogma/doctrine, Catholic Liturgy, and Canon Law principles.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Catholic worship, education, and liturgy.
