Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and dedicated Janitorial Worker to support the International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC) Amistad Field Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of four buildings at the site, including the Administration Building, Security Building, O&M Lunchroom and Restroom, and the Hydro Tech Building.
Work Hours
- Approximately 10 hours per week.
- Services to be performed on a two-day-per-week schedule, preferably on the mornings of Tuesdays and Thursdays, and must be started no earlier than 7:30 a.m. and completed no later than 3:00 p.m.
- No work is to be completed on weekends.
- Any changes to this schedule will require pre-approval by the Area Operations Manager or their representative at least one week in advance
Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks twice a week, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Maintain restrooms by cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, and replenishing supplies.
- Ensure all trash cans are emptied and new liners are placed.
- Clean and wash interior windows and office door glass weekly.
- Conduct annual cleaning, stripping, and waxing of all vinyl and ceramic floors.
- Store cleaning supplies neatly in designated storage areas.
Requirements
- Proven experience in providing janitorial services, preferably in a similar setting.
- Ability to provide at least three references for past performance on similar projects.
- Possess cleaning supplies and equipment to perform the job duties.
