Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in providing essential health services to the community. This role will support the Cincinnati Health Department and other city departments as needed.
Location: Various Health Centers in Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 12-month contract with the possibility of two 12-month renewals
Job Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in conducting laboratory tests and procedures to support patient care. You will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory tasks, including but not limited to:
- Level A: Proficiency in urinalysis, microscopy, stat hematology, and venipuncture in high-risk clinics. Experience with specialized STD lab procedures is required.
- Level B: Conduct routine urinalysis and microscopy in medical clinics. Must have adequate skills for venipuncture collection.
- Level C: Perform finger stick and phlebotomy tasks. Assist other technicians with laboratory paperwork and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality control protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of lab procedures and results.
- Provide Hepatitis B immunization information prior to placement in CHD facilities.
