Job Title: Writing Course Instructor
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified instructor to deliver an Army writing course for the 70th Regional Training Institute (RTI), Maryland Army National Guard. The course will emphasize AR 25-50 and is designed to train and graduate up to 30 junior Army Officers in effective army writing skills necessary for crafting memorandums and correspondence.
Class Schedule:
The Army Writing Course is set for a 2-day period, specifically on April 2-3, 2025
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) to discuss course conduct, student demographics, course materials, and objectives.
- Update and deliver the course syllabus, ensuring it articulates learning objectives and grading criteria.
- Review, update, and deliver lecture materials, customizing content to maximize relevance to students.
- Conduct class sessions and assess student progress through quizzes, exams, assignments, and projects.
- Provide actionable feedback and notify TPOC of any unsatisfactory student performance.
- Facilitate a final comprehensive examination or project.
- Submit final grade recommendations to the TPOC.
Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching military writing, including memorandums and correspondence in accordance with AR 25-50.
- Military experience is preferred.
- Ability to conduct a class of 30 personnel.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
