Lead Estimator

Responsibilities for lead estimator
- Responsible for obtaining bids on projects from Subcontractors and Suppliers
- Responsible for communicating with clients and architects
- Responsible for proper training of new Estimators, when necessary
- Review estimates to determine data completeness and procedures
- Review project plans, specifications and coordinates with the team to confirm complete scope
- Meeting with Subcontractors to negotiate better prices.
- Obtaining multiple bids for each scope and selecting the most suitable for the project.
- Understanding estimating scope of work, schedule of execution, estimate structure, formats, reports
- Review subcontractor’s estimates for completeness and reasonable basis that supports the project’s physical scope
- Assist project teams in resolution of estimating issues involving cost, schedule and changes
Qualifications for lead estimator
- Bachelor’s degree in construction related field
- Supervisory or project leadership experience in a construction environment is preferred
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience years in the commercial construction industry
- Must possess strong organizational, negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills, have the ability to work hands-on and independently, part of the team
- Proficient MS Office computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
